Neighborhood Care Groups
Neighborhood Care Groups
We have launched a new initiative at Grace called Neighborhood Care Groups. Neighborhood Care Groups will be Grace’s way of taking our Church directly into our neighborhoods. We will encourage parishioners to connect with and show concern for each other through regular communication and interaction, and to care for each other when needed. This will be a critical ministry for our communities as we seek to love our neighbors as we work toward deeper connections and emergency preparedness while also being equipped to better welcome new members to Grace.
Many thanks to vestry members Susan Calkin and Jennifer Muhlner for organizing this program! Each “neighborhood” comprises about 10 Grace Church Households. Some are small, some quite large, and one even “beyond the Napa Valley!” Each neighborhood has been assigned a “shepherd” for communication and coordination. The way each neighborhood decides to connect will be as unique as the needs, interests, geography and individuals of that neighborhood! You can expect your neighborhood Shepherd to reach out to you personally before the end of August. If you have any other questions, please contact NCG Leader/Head Shepherd Lin Weber at [email protected].
