
Join us as we journey through Holy Week, the most sacred time of our liturgical life. From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, we will walk together through Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection with special services, prayer, and reflections!
4/13- Palm Sunday @ 8AM | Our normal 8 AM service with Palms! We will sing “All Glory Laud and Honor” (yes, 8 o’clockers can sing!) and conclude with the reading of the Passion to begin our walk through Holy Week.
4/13- Bilingual Service @ 10AM | The 10 am service will be bilingual and begin in the Oak Street parking lot, with the blessing of palms and procession into the sanctuary.
4/16- People of the Passion @ 7PM | On the eve of Jesus’ Passion, a readers’ theater presentation of various characters (some familiar, some new) who recall how Jesus touched their lives.
4/17- Maundy Thursday @ 7PM | Maundy Thursday Eucharist in the sanctuary with an opportunity to experience footwashing. Special music will be offered by singers from the St. Helena Youth Choir. Deacon Diana Deen will preach and Bishop Alan preside. The service concludes with the stripping of the altar in preparation for Good Friday, and a chance for parishioners to “watch and pray” in the silent church with Jesus throughout the night.
4/18- The Stations of the Cross @ 11:30AM | This is a brief service walking to each of the 14 stations around the sanctuary that commemorate Jesus’ passion. Offered bilingually.
4/18- Good Friday Service @ 12PM | A traditional noonday Good Friday Service with reading of the Passion Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.
4/18- Good Friday Taizė Service @ 7PM | Simple chants in the style of the ecumenical community at Taizė, France, scripture reading, and the opportunity to walk the labyrinth.
4/19- Holy Saturday/The Great Vigil of Easter @ 7:30PM | Fire, incense, water, ancient chant, modern drama, darkness, light… historically the most important service of the Christian year, the Easter Vigil has it all! This year we will join the congregation at St. Mary’s in Napa (1917b Third Street) for the Vigil.
4/20 Easter Sunday
@ 8AM – Celebrate Easter in a slightly quieter way at 8 o’clock!
@ 10AM – Easter morning in all its glory! This service will also include Holy Baptism@ 11:30AM – Children’s Easter Egg Hunt!
