Advent, the four weeks before Christmas, is meant to be a season of quiet. A time when the world slows down on our side of the planet and curls in upon itself. If we listen for the quiet we can let the season bring us to a place of simplicity that begins to make room for hope in the darkest time of the year.
“Hope, says the writer Annie Lamott, “begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come.” Bring your children and grandchildren to the Family Advent Festival at Grace!
We begin from 5:30-6:00 pm with soup and bread, followed with children’s crafts. Our evening will end at 7 pm with a story, a song and a blessing.
