Spiritual Practices for Life’s Journey

Join us this spring for Soul Searching, a series of  conversations and experiences with teachers from Celtic Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, and Earth-centered paths. Each speaker will share insights and practices that offer practical ways to find balance, healing, and connection in everyday life. Through teachings drawn from the world’s great spiritual paths, this series invites reflection, renewal, and deeper connection with the sacred within and around us. Sought-after spiritual teachers will share with us contemplative spiritual  practices that can help ground us in these challenging times.

Most talks are free of charge (donations are welcome!) and are held at Grace Church in downtown St. Helena, with the author’s books available for purchase on site from local booksellers for signing by the author at a reception following each event.

John Philip Newell is an  internationally renowned  Celtic teacher and author of spirituality who calls the  modern world to reawaken to the sacredness of Earth and every human being. Canadian by birth, and also Scottish, he resides with his wife Ali in the ecovillage of Findhorn in Scotland. Newell speaks of himself as ‘a wandering teacher’ following the ancient path of many lone teachers before him in the Celtic tradition, seeking the wellbeing of the world. He has been described as having ‘the heart of a Celtic bard and the mind of a Celtic scholar,’ combining in his teachings the poetic and the intellectual, the head as well as the heart, and spiritual awareness as well as political and ecological concern.

At this free event John Philip will be speaking on his 2021 book, Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul: Celtic Wisdom for Reawakening to What Our Souls Know and Healing the World.

Ruthanne founded Intersection of Napa Valley, a non-profit that invites people to the inner connections of the sacred.
