Sustaining Grace Gatherings

Last Fall and this past Spring, over 100 Grace members attended a Sustaining Grace Gathering – small social events in fellow parishioners’ homes. “Reconnect and Renew” was our Grace theme in 2022, and at these gatherings in the Fall of 2023 and the Spring of 2024 we really did that. As we told our “Grace stories” and shared “fun facts”, enjoying hospitality in a relaxed setting, we deepened old relationships and made new ones with the people who make Grace what it is. We came away energized, grateful, and committed to one another and the future God has in store for us.

Now, as we move into the Fall of 2024, we are back at it again. We have more Sustaining Grace Gatherings planned for this September for those of you who have not attended one already, and for those of you who want a refresher course. You will have a chance to become better acquainted with our part-time Bishop-in-Residence, Alan Scarfe.  And, a member of the Sustaining Grace Committee will update everyone on how we are progressing with the Sustaining Grace Initiative, our on-going campaign to raise funds for our beloved Grace church so that Grace can continue serving its members, and our beautiful Napa Valley and beyond, well into the future. For those of you who haven’t had a chance to fill out a commitment form for the Sustaining Grace Fund, there will be forms available for you during the Gathering. We’ll then come together to celebrate those who have made a Sustaining Grace Fund commitment on September 27th at Spottswoode Estate, where we will honor and recognize those committed Founders of our newly formed Sustaining Grace Society.

  1. Hosts: Sue Cottrell & Alexandra Haslip —September 6th— a mid-morning coffee hour at Sue’s home. From 10:00-12:00 AM.
  2. Hosts: Becca & Rob Reichenberger —September 8th— a light brunch at their home. From 12:00-2:00 PM.
  3. Hosts: Jennifer & John Muhlner —September 9th— Happy Hour at their home with light hors d’oeuvres and beverage refreshments. From 5:00-7:00PM.
  4. Hosts: Mary & Mark Linder -September 13th. -Happy Hour with light hors d’oeuvres and beverage refreshments in their historic family office overlooking Main Street and the Cameo Theater- -From 4:30-6:30PM.
