This Sunday will be our second Healing Service of the year landing just before the start of Advent.  We will have one combined service at 9 a.m. Helen Christianson began this ministry over 30 years ago.  Much to our sadness she is no longer able to participate, but we are blessed to have a wonderful group of active Intercessors here at Grace.  They include Karla Jensen, Edie Kausch, Dick Tiff, Sue Cottrell, Jan Bradley, Gen Dunlap, Ruthanne Svendson, and Terry Henry.

The intercessors have been preparing for an entire week for this day.  Each person signs up to Fast for at least one of the days and we all pray for those persons fasting that day.  We have lite candles that burn all week and the flame reminds us to pray for one another and for all of you.  We will place these candles on the altar on Sunday morning.

We pray that you will come to the service on Sunday and be brave enough to come forward to share your prayer requests with us.  If you think you don’t have a prayer request, think again.  If it’s not for yourself or your health, you may have a friend or loved one who needs prayer.  You could ask for prayers for our dear Helen Christianson and for our beloved Grace church.  Our world is in chaos right now, you could ask for prayers for peace, for an end to the various wars,  or for our precious earth. It could be a prayer of thanksgiving for something wonderful or long awaited in your life.  We all need healing, we are all broken and we can all use the Master’s touch.  Open your hearts, listen for the tug of the Holy Spirit, think about your needs, your neighbor’s needs, the needs of the world.  I’m sure you will find something that needs prayer.  We LOVE to pray with you. And I believe prayer changes the ones who pray.

To request prayer outside of our services please send an email to prayers@grace-episcopal.org or call or text Terry Henry at 707.479.3298
