REFLECTION
Because Jan 6 is the Feast of the Epiphany, I am thinking about the Magi and remembered this song, Home By Another Way by James Taylor. It’s a new year and we are still living with so much uncertainty. What does it look like for you to “get home by another way” in this new year, in a time of change with an uncharted path You don’t get to travel on the road you thought you’d take…it’s not safe or maybe it’s not even there anymore. Now what? You and the wise men. You can’t get where you want to go the way you thought you would. Can you be curious about what will open up for you now?

PRAYER
God of all time, we praise and adore you for breaking into the darkness of this world with the glorious light of your presence. A light which made your love for the world visible in the babe born in Bethlehem—Jesus Christ, your Son, our Saviour. A light which guided those gift-bearing travellers from afar to find and worship the Christ-child. A light which leads us to you, now revealed in Jesus Christ. We pray that you will accept our worship for it arises from hearts and minds in awe over the enormity of your gift to us of pure love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
