A message from your Stewardship Committee –
November is the month of giving thanks — and that’s exactly what we at Grace invite everyone to do. Take time this month to reflect on the many blessings in your life. Consider starting a gratitude journal and writing down three things you’re thankful for each day. We hope some of those “thankful moments” include Grace Church!
As we complete our pledges this month, we encourage you to reflect on what you are most grateful for here at Grace — what we like to call our “Graceful Moments.” Whether it’s the altar, the pews, the small groups, the grounds, or even the snack — all of these are blessings that make Grace the community we love.
Over the next four weeks, the Stewardship Committee will share reflections on what GIVING means to us as a congregation:
G – Gratitude to God
I – Inviting the Spirit
V – Vanquishing Fear
E – Enlivening Community
We are also sharing “Gratitude Bubbles” as a congregation. During Epiphany, we take words from the stars on the wall to reflect on for the year ahead. During this season of giving, we invite you to put something back on the wall — what you’re grateful for at Grace. Look for the “Gratitude Bubbles”at the back of the church. Write down what fills you with gratitude, and leave your bubble in the basket or place it in the offering plate. We can’t wait to see Grace decorated with bubbles of thankfulness!
You’ll soon receive your pledge packet in the mail Pledging is both a spiritual practice — a way to commit our resources to God — and a practical tool that helps the vestry plan the budget for the coming year. We ask that everyone in the congregation complete a pledge card for 2026 giving. You may return your pledge by mail, drop it off at the office, or bring it with you to our Pledge Gathering Sunday on November 30th, or complete your 2026 pledge online. During worship that day, we’ll come to the altar to offer and bless our pledges — a joyful celebration of gratitude and commitment. Also that Sunday, we’ll celebrate the conclusion of our pledge campaign with a “Bubble Party” following the 10 am service!
Don’t forget to fill out your Gratitude Bubble and keep an eye out for your pledge card in the mail. (If you don’t have it by next week, please let us know!)
For all it is and all we are — give thanks, and give to Grace.

A “Graceful Moment” from Melissa Muñoz-Matheny
I joined the stewardship committee this year because it struck me a month ago when Amy’s mom, Shelley, was here, and we were out on the labyrinth for the feast of St. Francis, and she reminded us that we simply owe every single thing in our lives including our health and breath to God. I think of the relationships in my life, the silver linings, the blessings, and that’s. All. God.
I feel particularly grateful for Grace Church because it feels like a family. I treasure my personal relationship with God, and when I go to church at Grace, I see and appreciate others who do, too. And when we’re honoring our relationships with God together, it’s more than just knowing one another in the pews—it’s like we’re bound together more deeply. We have our wise leaders who model for us how to be, how to reflect God’s love, out in our broken world. I couldn’t feel more grateful for all of our leaders at Grace and the same for the volunteers who work with our children. I asked our son Rafael why he is grateful for Grace, and he said, “because I feel close to God.” I couldn’t say it better.
And when we all went to the Cameo last Monday evening, it felt like our Grace family was going on a field trip to the movies! So fun and joyful to see everyone. And then the 150th Celebration was both deeply historically moving and also bright fun and enjoyment. Toward the end of the party, Belli turned on the World Series, and some stayed until the end—felt like family hanging out together, a “Graceful moment.” Thank you, Grace. Thank you, God.
