Dear Ones,

What a glorious weekend it was! Saturday evening’s “Hello/Goodbye” party felt truly magical, and I realized that not only are we celebrating being together again after a four-month sabbatical, we are really still rejoicing (marveling?) over our ability to gather in community at all after these years of Covid. Sunday likewise was a beautiful celebration of our Grace community and the love of God that we find here. After having to consecrate extra hosts for the second time because we had more people than anticipated at the 10 AM service, I placed the full ciborium with the consecrated bread back into the tabernacle behind the altar and said, “Your house is full. Thank you for filling your house, Lord.”

My heart is full with seeing all of you again. I’m grateful to you for doing your sabbatical work of joyfully and deeply reconnecting and renewing, grateful to Bishop Alan and to God that I find a congregation in better shape than when I left it, and grateful that I can return as your rector in better shape than when I left! I look forward to lots of time reconnecting with you this fall. Come see me on the labyrinth on Tuesdays from 4 to 5 or connect at Pub Hour at Goose and Gander on Thursdays at 4:30. If those times don’t work for you, please drop me an email so we can get together! I’m so grateful to God for the gift of being your rector as we begin our seventh year together.

In the deep peace of Christ,

Amy+
